As a mother, former youth minister, cub master, team mom, and avid volunteer the kids and I sold many items to raise money for our schools, faith communities, sports teams, and clubs to fund school projects, tournaments, camping trips, instruments and parades for marching band, uniforms, mission trips, and local and global relief efforts. I originally launched Rethreads and Retreads d.b.a. Used Shoe Fundraiser in 2012 to help organizations raise funds without having to sell anything. I attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated with a degree from the Geography Department with a focus on environmental sciences. Repurposing and recycling textiles is my way of helping to make the world a bit better for future generations while supporting great causes.

My best day is being outdoors with my babies and a picnic basket of good eats.
